CASE STUDY
Located within the Carnegie Hill Historic District, this development required extensive coordination with the Landmarks Preservation Commission and the Department of Buildings to achieve full design and regulatory approval.
Led by Bill Coleman—who held senior development responsibilities at Tamarkin Co.—Coleman conceived the project from initial feasibility and conceptual planning through final Landmarks approval and construction documentation. Responsibilities included zoning and entitlement strategy, assembling the project team of architects of record, engineers, and consultants, and overseeing bidding and value engineering.
Coleman managed submissions to city agencies, coordinated consultants, and engaged with the community throughout the review process. The project exemplifies Coleman’s ability to balance design integrity with the realities of New York City’s regulatory environment—delivering long-term value through thoughtful design and precise execution.
